Prairie Style Deck Cable Railing – Monona, WI

This Prairie Style deck cable railing is fascia mounted, giving the homeowners a little more room on their deck and unobstructed views of the lake. By mounting the posts on the front of the deck, the mounting hardware is hidden from the deck level view, making for a more streamlined appearance. The posts have a unique shape reminiscent of an I-beam that is tapered at the bottom and a herringbone motif pattern cut into each post. The Prairie style is often considered to be a Western-style or craftsman style. The posts are powder-coated “Raven Texture Black” to create contrast to the light colors of the home and blend in with the woodland and lake views.  The infill of the railing is type 316 stainless steel cable and fittings.
