Modern Spiral Staircase – Watchung, New Jersey\

For this renovation project, our clients’ vision for their home in Watchung, New Jersey was to convert the traditional style home to a modern home and better utilize the available space.  They decided to open up an attic space and convert it to a library loft. Since there was minimal space to work with, a compact spiral staircase was chosen to access the loft. The Keuka Studios team custom-designed this steel staircase complete with our signature curved Keuka Style cable railing post and a mahogany top rail. Visible from the main entrance of the home, this eye-catching staircase leads from the second story up to the loft library. The curved railing posts combined with the curving spiral staircase beautifully transitions from the second story of the home to the reading room in the loft. The same curved Keuka Style cable railing post is used for the staircase leading from the first-floor entry to the second story and continuously wraps around the balcony. Combined with the Chautauqua Woods doors the effect upon entering the home is a stunning grand entrance.
